This is frustrating. But it's also an opportunity. Successful people are resilient. They approach rejection and failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. Take this feedback to heart. Take a look at your skills. What's lacking in your portfolio that could have led to the promotion? Do whatever you can to develop these skills.
